The S8 Listening Season Starts Now!

Episode one of Season 8 is now live, for your listening pleasure!

This is a benchmark season for us, as we’ve made some significant efforts to improve the show and make it more listenable. A lot of it is occurring behind the scenes in how we produce and manage the show, but other changes are obvious attempts to ensure we’re delivering quality content, like the streamlined guest Intros and revised News Stories segment, both of which get us to the meaty, good stuff quickly and directly.

It’s also the debut of the audience-expanding Grape to Plate segment featuring renowned chef Jason Berthold. He’s led some of the most highly awarded kitchens in the country, just absolutely legendary restaurants like The French Laundry, Per Se, and RN74, so having him creating dishes from blindly tasted wines and pulling from his professional experience to share a Practical Hack for each episode is something pretty special. Both dyed-in-the-wool winos and foodies will love Grape to Plate!

Our opening panel was great, too, and featured Busch’s Fresh Food Markets corporate Wine Director Rebecca Wauldron, the prolific and accomplished wine writer, wine judge, and YouTuber Dr. Matthew Horkey, and the righteous and wonderfully opinionated farmer and winemaker behind Ca’ Musu and Wine Pirati wines from west Michigan, Domenico “Mimmo” Musumeci.

We think it all came together just about perfectly, capturing all the energy and fun of the in-studio social recording session and delivering it in an hour-long package that is as insightful as it is entertaining. Dial it up on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you like to listen to podcasts, and let us know what you think of the new format! We’d love to hear from you!
